You know those projects where your boss agrees with your idea and says go for it? Keying into the Brain is an interactive media festival in the Netherlands. A day long event, ending with the Gouden Reigers 2012 awards. Edenspiekermann were asked to create an identity for the festival and design the accompanying catalogue.
From speaking to such passionate organisers, I really enjoyed focusing on their insights to the festival. Despite not being well known–yet–outside of the Netherlands, KITB allows people to meet and network with others whom they would normally not cross paths with.
Under the fantastic direction of Hans Booms (Partner), I focused in on visualising this, bringing the entries to the forefront and referencing the process.
With the idea of creating the name out of this thread, it was a natural thought to film the process to be used as a leader video in the festival. Kudos to Jon Lucas for creating the threaded typography and Emily Fischer for creating some wonderful graphic design.
